Welcome to the Wilson County Community Tennis Association.
WCCTA is a non-profit tennis organization that is not aligned
with any one group, club or facility. We simply exist to promote
tennis to amateur players in the Middle Tennessee area. Our mission
and goal is to increase opportunities for everyone to play by
organizing events and programs throughout Wilson County.
WCCTA event times and dates vary. We usually hold two events
per month. The events typically consist of mixed doubles Round
Robin match play. The tennis balls and refreshments are included.
We strive to create a relaxed fun atmosphere and everyone gets
to play regardless of skill level.
All members of the WCCTA are invited to events by email notification
and this website. If your not a member,
join today. The annual cost is very affordable and the
benifits are great. For more details please view our Membership
page.
The full 2008 WCCTA schedule is on last web page under events on this
website. Also, the winner will be listed for each doubles event
based on average number of games they won per round for event.

JUNIOR TEAM WINTER LEAGUE
__________________________________________________________
Our first Wilson County High School Fall Team Tennis season is almost over and it has been a blast.... Thanks to all of you that helped me round up kids to play in the Fall Season.
We had six teams of 46 kids participating from MJHS, WCHS, Friendship, DCA, Hendersonville, a couple from Brentwood, and some homeschoolers. They've all asked if we could continue playing, so we have set up a Winter League for Dec, Jan, and Feb (until high school season starts).
In addition to just keeping their tennis skills sharp, they are strategizing, and coaching each other, and working together, building friendships and getting to know all the other area kids outside of their school. It's been a tremendous tennis opportunity for Wilson County and surrounding areas!
Registration opens this week and closes Nov 25th OR when we meet the max number of teams. A couple of changes to the league....
we'll be playing sets of SIX instead of five, with a tiebreaker at 5-5.
Our season will be ~ 10 weeks (we may take off for Christmas break.)
Cost is $42 per player for the entire season and includes teamshirt, court time, balls and awards.
PLAYERS WILL BE REGISTERING FOR A SPECIFIC TEAM. Captains will need to pull their co-ed team together (3-4 girls and 3-4 boys) and the team captain will register the team name on the website and then will give the teammates the team number to register under.
If individuals want to play, they will have to find a team or put a team together.
I will not be assigning players to the teams this season. If you could help the kids who want to play "find each other" and appoint a captain, that would be very helpful!!
They do NOT have to keep the same players or the same team name or the same captain.
